Plaque & Tartar Removal
Ultrasonic and hand instruments above and below the gumline.
The most important appointment in dentistry is the one you don't skip. We make routine cleanings genuinely comfortable — and we use them to catch the problems that, left alone, become expensive.
Every appointment in our Century City office is led by Dr. Esfahani — no handoffs, no rushed visits, no surprise treatment recommendations.
A standard cleaning and exam at Century Smile Maker runs 60 minutes — long enough for thorough work, not so long you're trapped in the chair.
Every appointment includes the full preventive workup, plus an exam by Dr. Esfahani so nothing slips through.

Personalized recommendations for what to brush, floss, and watch.
Some patients have plaque and tartar that has worked its way below the gumline, causing inflammation and bone loss. The treatment is scaling and root planing (SRP) — often called a 'deep cleaning.'
SRP requires local anesthetic, is usually done one half of the mouth at a time, and is followed by 3-month maintenance cleanings until the gums are stable. We only recommend it when it's clinically necessary.
Quick health update and any insurance verification.
Ultrasonic + hand scaling, polish, and (if approved) fluoride.
Digital X-rays only when due.
